Doll House Bubble Bath

Started a new project

I've gotten back into making miniatures and had been looking around charity shops for furniture to use as buying them online can be expensive and time consuming. Luckily I managed to buy a set of furniture relatively cheaply that wasn't in too bad a condition. I'm not keeping them as a set and have decided to try out some different techniques on them.

The first thing I've started is the bath tub, its a fairly ordinary white one with lion head feet. I had an idea to make a removable layer of bubbles.

The lions feet don't click onto the bath although there are indents and corresponding notches. So I'll have to glue them on, something like no more nails should work well

Because i wanted the bubbles to be removable i cut a piece of card that snugly fit inside just a few centimeters below the top. The clingfilm is to stop the paint from getting on the tub and for easy removal.

The bubbles are just glass beads and glue, I'm a little apprehensive about how long it will take to dry so once its set a little I will remove it from the bath and clingfilm. Hopefully this will help it dry better.
