Shabby Chic Miniature Dresser

I got these two in the same set of furniture as the bathtub, they're identical and have two removable draws. I'm not fond of the colour so I've decided to paint one and make it shabby chic 

I started by appling several layers of gesso with a makeup sponge, this will reduce the amount of paint I will need to use later and covers the varnish nicely. I used a makeup sponge so there wouldn't be brushstrokes left behind. 
 




Once the gesso was completely dried i covered it with about two layers of pale blue acrylic paint, which was a mixture of sap green, viridian and white. 

 After waiting for the coloured layer to dry i scratched off the paint from the handles and sanded down some of the edges to give it the worn out look.
